possible bug(s) with the latest version

Post by rookie »

Hello to the forum!

Installed the latest version (the one with the new icon) on SM 1.1b (Windows 2000). Now the ABP icon appears also in the Mail & News window. I have configured SM so when I use middle-click or ctrl+click the link opens in a new tab. When middle-click or ctrl+click (or even right-click 'Open in a new Tab') is used within the Mail & News window nothing happens (i.e. the link is not opened in a new tab OR the currently opened tab). Unistalled ABP (removed also all preferences and filters) and worked just fine. Reinstalled ABP and the problem came back. Anyone noticed that?

Indeed. Happens with SM 1.0.5 on WinXP too. I noticed the problem a few minutes
ago, but didn't make the connection with the updated ABP from a few hours ago.
IIRC, this didn't happen with the last development build.

Argh... ABP defines a getBrowser() function so its code finds the content pane as usually. And SeaMonkey code checks for this functions to decide whether it is executing in the browser window or in MailNews...

It wasn't there for me. Used to work fine. Maybe it has something to do with the ABP icon appearing also in Mail & News now.

Anyway, Wladimir seems to know the reason so it will be fixed!

No, it isn't about the icon - it is generally about the MailNews support. Guess I shouldn't look for easy solutions :-(

Yup, fixed for me in SM 1.0.5, 1.1b and trunk on WinXP.

Thanks!
