filmweb.pl - how to block the flash ads....

Post by moskittiero »

I wouyld like to block the flash ads on the:
http://www.filmweb.pl/
I couldn't set it myself. There is a "flashAntiBlocker.js" script there, I have blocked it by it would't help. What to do?

Try to block "http://adidm.idmnet.pl/js.ng/" or even only "*/js.ng/". It should work; at least I could not encounter any ads.

For me a simple */ad/* works...

As to flashAntiBlocker.js - a comment in this script says "disable object embed activation click in ie". That's to make the menu work properly in IE, not for Adblock.

Sorry Waldimir, but */ad/* won't work there. Although I don't speak that language, I would think that:

*.clickad.* or *.clickad.pl*

.... would be the best choices simply because that is the name of the actual adserving company. It gives the same results even though Master X's script block would also kill the originating script which would normally be my fist choice. But killing adclick.pl probably would catch more ads on different sites.

You could always use both too. You can never have enough good blocking strings :-)

Well, it works for me, at least it blocks all Flash banners. I should probably add that I have two frames blocked by */ads/* so that I might not have all of them.

Yes, */ads/ and */ad/ is working too. But with */js.ng/ you block the script, which generates the frame and the object. This way the site is processed a bit faster.
