ABP disabled on some sites

Post by avarigirl »

For example, the Chicago Tribune website, but there are many others. The icon is greyed out, and middle clicking does not give me an action to enable it. I thought the end user could choose what sites to enable and disable, but it certainly seems like some websites are overriding whatever control the user has. Is there a way to enable ABP on sites that seem to be able to disable it?

I cannot reproduce such issue.
Test again using only ABP, no other addon (disable all other addons).
Check your custom filters (be sure there is no whitelisting rule for that site).

Thanks for your reply. I only had avast add-on, i disabled it, and i have no whitelisted sites. ABP is still disabled on some sites. But I am wondering if it might be a problem with my mouse. I am going to try a different mouse.

probably you should reset firefox and reinstall your addons (first save your bookmarks / settings / passwords or sync them all)

Hello, Can i ask a simple question.

As in Adblock Plus Filter Preferences settings there is on the left side Adblock Warning Removal List and Easylist etc.
Should i select on both of them ? AWRL is not tapped.
Then a very stupid question, On the right window there is enabled tap, Should it be tapped in order to Filter to do is job ??

enable AWRL too.
When enabled you can check / uncheck single filters (in the right panel)
