i finally realized that abl works.. there's no issue with it. because i get hits for |data:text$popup
as much on abl as ublock origin with its unfunctional element picker, so i'm gonna uninstall ublock.

i guess i know where the issue is..

that filter doesn't prevent the browser from Opening the data: like urls.. but it Closes such pages..
that's the issue, for ppl like me who prevent windows to be opened on new windows but in the forground..
with that filter, the page/tab closes itself.

that's an issue if abp cannot prevent the data: like urls to even be launched before being closed..
preventing ads from appearing is more suitable than having them closed, even more with my browser setting
about how tabs & windows are managed.
