SRWARE IRON

Post by eooc2 »

Hi all, i'm new to the boards so if this has been posted, perhaps i missed it.
Question: Is there anything from Adblock that is compatible for SRWARE IRON. Its a chrome alt by google and has ZERO add block 3rd party extensions.

Thx, Roy

Back when SRWare Iron was still being regularly updated, I used it because of the built-in "adblock.ini" file; then when the webRequest API became stable, I switched back to Chrome because SRWare Iron wasn't being updated so regularly, and Chrome finally had a workable ad-blocking API.

It should work on any browser based on a sufficiently recent version of Chromium (as of now, at least Chromium 29); unfortunately, SRWare Iron does not auto-update, so you'll need to check for a new version of the browser.

Alternatively, AdBlock only requires Chromium 23, and uBlock Origin only requires Chromium 22.
