ABP still doesn't work on IE
I never really use IE, but it would be nice when I have to use IE to actually have ABP work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it never works on IE-11. I didn't have an issue several years ago on Windows 7, but on Windows 8.1 it's useless. It always say not verified, and never even showed up. It's frustrating

Re: ABP still doesn't work on IE
-go into manage addons, do you see ABP there ?
-go into Tools->Internet Options->Advanced and look for "Enable third-party browser extensions*" under Browsing ==> be sure to have checked that option

It's there, but always says "Not Verified". I also have "Enable third-party browser extensions" checked, yet it doesn't work.

What antivirus / security software are you using ? could be some antivirus is blocking the addon. Try eventually disabling temporary your antivirus see what happens (and then close / reopen IE)

Re: ABP still doesn't work on IE
I use Kaspersky. It doesn't affect ABP on Chrome of Firefox, so I don't think that would be it. I've seen a lot of people saying it no longer works on IE
Re: ABP still doesn't work on IE
just disable temporary kaspersky, it has nothing to do ABP for IE with ABP for chrome / FF
and then take a look to the link I posted above

Re: ABP still doesn't work on IE
I have just downloaded IE11 as a backup for Chrome and looked for and found ABP in the IE Gallery. It seems that unlike Chrome, with IE you have to download save and install it as if it was a stand alone program. Repeated attempts to do this have failed, something to do with time certificate being out of date. To cap this my Avast AV pops up with a severe warning about ABP and recommends removal even though it hasn't been installed (cos the exe file won't work!)
I am using Windows 7
Something tells me that ABP and IE don't like each other and I may have to look around for an alternative ad blocker (there isn't a great choice in the IE Gallery)
Has anyone got any ideas or solutions?

Check date / time in your system

Try disable your antivirus temporarily (it's false positive regarding ABP) and install again ABP.
If still does not work, go into manage addons, remove / disable other addons there - if any. Then try again installing ABP.
You can also try the last dev build:
devbuilds/adblockplusie/00latest.exe
