Problem on Mac with Fx 3.0b1 and ADP. Bug?

Post by Handycam »

I tried the 3.0 beta yesterday and noticed that when I right-click and "adblock image", the window appear but the current image path is NOT automatically filled in as it is usually. You would need to create the filter from scratch, which negates the usefulness of "block this image".

Anyone else see this? Is this a known issue? Does the latest dev build help?

I'd like to try it, but 0.7.5.3+ will not install, saying it is not compatible with 3.0b1.

I just came to search for this strange behaviour and I happened to open this topic. :-) Today I noticed exactly the same on Windows. I cannot give a regression window, because I use this feature (Adblock image... or Adblock frame...) very rarely.

OS: Windows XP
Adblock version: O.7.5.3
Firefox 3.0 b2 pre, build: 2007120405

Greetings to all,

All you need to do is download the dev build, rename it's extension .zip, extract it, open install.rdf, change 3.0a9 to 3.0b2, rezip the files using normal compression, change the extension back to xpi, and drag it to a blank page in Firefox. It'll install.

Demetris, thanks for the input, but the issue is known and is already fixed in the development builds of ABP.

blogger and anyone else having trouble with extensions.checkCompatibility, double check to see that it is set to FALSE. In the Add-ons window, do not click enable. Doing so will enable compatibility checking, which is something you don't want it to do.
