ABP and Thunderbird
ABP and Thunderbird
How do you use ABP in Thunderbird? Installing seems easy but how do you add the filters? In Firefox you just click the filter in the list of supported filters from the ABP site and it installs automatically and updates automatically. How do you install it in Thunderbird? Besides the Hotmail and Yahoo Mail adds what adds are people getting in their e mail that needs blocking? Does ABP block the Hotmail and Yahoo Mail adds?
OK, Thanks. Just seems strange that there is not more info on Thunderbird and ABP considering it's the top extension on the Thunderbird addon site.IceDogg wrote:I know that it does work with Thunderbird I just don't use it with Thunderbird myself, and there for don't know how to help you. Be patient as Wladimir Palant (Adblock plus developer) doesn't have full time Internet right now. He will be with you ASAP. Sorry I can't help you.
Search results, not much but might help

You are correct though, not much info about it. But maybe Wladimir Palant or someone can help you more soon.

Yes, I am afraid that you cannot use this subscription links in Thunderbird. You have to go to Tools / Adblock Plus, and select Filters / Add filter subscription from the menu there. This dialog has some suggestions, but you can enter any filter list address there.
PS: I have full time Internet, just very busy. This will hopefully change once everything is somewhat settled down.
