AdBlock Plus not working for Chrome

Over the last few weeks I have noticed that my Adblock has stopped working. On Youtube, all adds appear before videos and on the homepage. On other websites all adds are visible. Any page i go to, Adblock does not block any adds. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it and nothing works. I have tried a number of solutions and none of them work. I only use Chrome and possibly my Chrome app itself is corrupted.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It's not working completely for firefox either. It is working to stop the ordinary ads but there is a new one advertising 'HOT DEALS' that enters from the RHS of the screen and another that comes up from the bottom of the screen. Does this mean that they have sussed a way of circumnavigating adblock plus?
