More information is needed here.
1. What Operating System (OS) are you using?
2. Version of Firefox or other browser e.g. SeaMonkey are you using.
3. What version of Adblock plus (if not the latest).
4. Which (if any) filtersets are you using?
5. Page in question could also be helpful.

Off the top of my head:

1. Elements are not currently being showed in blocked items list. This could be the cause.
2. Is it possible any other applications you are using is blocking some content? Test by opening the page in another browser and see if you can see the content. Firewalls are a very commonly the cause if adblock plus isn't blocking something.

The theme you are using could also be the problem.

Hello !

1- Windows XP
2- Firefox 2.0.0.1
3- AdBlock 0.7.2.4
4- adblock.free.fr
5- all pages :D

I'm sure the items are blocked by AdBlock :

It's maybe the theme, yes. I use iPox.

Tested, it is because of the iPox theme.

Good call MonztA! :D
I didn't realize that a theme would actually do that. I wouldn't even have given that a thought.

Yea I agree with Rick that's a nice catch. I wouldn't have thought a theme could do that either.

Is this a adblock plus bug that allows this or is the theme just buggy? Maybe theme's have more power then I thought they did.

Argh, this theme defines tree styles with !important flag. Somebody kill this theme author please!

Edit: Actually, it is misusing the !important flag everywhere.
Edit2: I reported this issue.

I though it was extremely odd for a theme to cause this.
