[flash version NPAPI / PPAPI] in Youtube videos ads

since a few hours ago, ads within videos in Youtube are not being blocked by adblock
anyone else having this issue?

Same. Yesterday it was completely fine, but now I get both video ads and those stupid ad banners that hide half of the video screen :/
It feels like Youtube suddenly found a way to circumvent the adblocker.

Youtube ads are still blocked on Firefox so I'll probably use that to watch Youtube before this issue gets a fix.

@mapx: Your link didn't help at all. The Adblock Plus still works on other sites. I'm only having this issue with video streaming sites. The normal ads (flash banners on any website or pop ups for example) are still blocked.

I have adblock plus 1.7.2
Chrome is Version 32.0.1700.72 m

I have subscribed to filter list "Wiltteri+EasyList" which is up to date.

I only have two extensions besides ABP: FacebookBlocker (1.2.3) and APK Downloader (2.0.0)
I've had no conflicting issues with these two extensions and ABP before.

EDIT:After a scan no viruses or malware came up. (Scanned with Avast, Malwarebytes & Spybot)

well, could be the new beta version 32.0.1700.72, which was released in the last hours

unfortunately I can not test it right now

you could use chrome version 31 (portable one) to see if you have the same issue

With that portable Chrome ABP works just fine.

It seems that the issue is indeed with the newest chrome update :/

It seems that in some cases the last beta version overrided the stable one.

I was not able to reproduce this issue with "Chrome 32.0.1700.72 beta-m" (while yours seem to be the stable version) on Linux and Windows 7. Please do the following:

- let me know which operating system you are using
- try Chrome Beta 32 from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/g ... e_portable and see whether it works for you or not
- check the extension for errors (see below)

How to check for errors:
- open the Chrome version in which you see the ads
- right-click on the icon and click on "Manage"
- click on the "background page" link underneath the ABP icon
- click on the "Console" tab on the top
- let me know if you see any text in there

My problem is similiar i just have ads on twitch.tv instead of youtube.
