Sent Private Messages don't show in Sent Messages folder.

Post by Marathonracer »

When I reply to a Private Message and click Submit, a message says that it's been sent successfully. But when I check the Sent messages folder, it doesn't show - it only appears in the Outbox. I tried it twice, and it did the same thing. I then tried sending the Private Message directly, instead of as a Reply, and again, it said it was sent successfully, but only shows in the Outbox. So now, I have all three PM's stored in the Outbox, and none in the Sent messages folder. From what I know in email clients, the outbox only is used to hold emails that are NOT sent successfully.

I then sent myself a Test Private Message, and it showed correctly in the Sent Messages folder and in my Inbox! What's going on here? There is no reference to this in the FAQ.

So that' how it works. I was wondering if there was another explanation, since my Test PM to myself did show in the Sent messages folder after I read it. You're right, of course, because before I read it, I saw it added in the Outbox, as a fourth PM. But after I read it, the Outbox changed to 3 again and it showed in the Sent messages.

Thank you for the explanation and your fast reply, mapx!

Although that behaviour seems strange for me, I guess it's more a design decision than a bug.
