Ads are not blocked on Ethernet connection

Post by uvagmx »

I have a Nexus 7 android tablet. I do not like connecting to the Internet via Wifi since Wifi causes my head to hurt. I purchased an Ethernet adapter and my Nexus 7 connects to the internet via Ethernet.

When I connect to the Internet via Ethernet, it seems that none of the ads are blocked. When I look in the message box it says, "AdBlock Plus" - "Ads are blocked on Wifi connection". Could you consider adding code to AdBlock Plus, so it will block ads not only on Wifi connection, but also on an Ethernet connection? Thanks.
Works on rooted android

In case anyone is having the same problem, I have come up with a workaround.

I have an Android TV stick that is connected using ethernet with wifi disabled. However when I boot up, I get the same "Ads are blocked on Wifi connection" message and no ads are blocked.

If I open up Adblock and turn it off and then turn it back on, I get the message that "Ads are blocked on all connections" and it works with the ethernet connection.

I'm not sure if this is a problem where on startup of Adblock it doesn't properly notice what network connections are in use. Or if Adblock is starting before I have any connection properly initialized and Adblock just assumes wifi.

When I connect with the web via local area network, it appears that none of the ads square measure blocked. after I look within the message box it says, "AdBlock Plus" - "Ads square measure blocked on wireless fidelity connection". might you concentrate on adding code to AdBlock and, thus it'll block ads not solely on wireless fidelity affiliation, however additionally on associate degree local area network connection? Thanks. :D
