Pandora does not work with "Manual Configuration"

Post by TheEmpathicEar »

1. My phone is rooted.
2. I can confirm that AdBlock has SuperUser [I'm using SuperSU]
3. I was getting some notifications from AdBlock that I needed to do a manual config [See #2. I shud not be getting this?]
4. I did the WiFi configuration manually: proxy host to localhost and port to the number to 2020.
5. Pandora was giving "Can not connect to Pandora.com" when I had the proxy configured manually.
6. I tried many others things, but finally removed removed the manual config.
7. Now Pandora works. NOTE: Pandora always worked with a DATA connection. It was only the WiFi connection causing an issue.

I'll issue a "me too" on this. Samsung GS IV Active with stock JB ROM. Manual proxy configuration creates unpredictable but catastrophic failures in Pandora, especially and reliably/totally breaks Chromecast streaming from Pandora. I'd love if there were an exception we could configure that would allow this traffic (while, ideally, continuing to block the Pandora ads).
