Pages go crazy
Pages go crazy
If Adblock Plus 0.7.2.1 is installed with FireFox 2.0 or Minefield 3.0a1 and you have the bookmark toolbar visible but with no bookmarks in it pages have a tendency to go a little crazy (looks like the page is trying to scroll up and down) the first time they are loaded (clicking on a link seems to stop it). I am using Vista RC 2.
Re: BUG: PAGES GO CRAZY !
No problem found here with the bookmarks toolbar configuration you described (Firefox 2.0 Standard theme Windows XP SP2).Hubird wrote:If Adblock Plus 0.7.2.1 is installed with FireFox 2.0 or Minefield 3.0a1 and you have the bookmark toolbar visible but with no bookmarks in it pages have a tendency to go a little crazy (looks like the page is trying to scroll up and down) the first time they are loaded (clicking on a link seems to stop it). Have you tried with a clean profile (you can import/export your filters list) in order to discard any compatibility problem coming from other add-on?
Re: BUG: PAGES GO CRAZY !
This has absolutely nothing to do with Adblock Plus. Read the (Google cache of the) MozillaZine KB page for it.Hubird wrote:If Adblock Plus 0.7.2.1 is installed with FireFox 2.0 or Minefield 3.0a1 and you have the bookmark toolbar visible but with no bookmarks in it pages have a tendency to go a little crazy (looks like the page is trying to scroll up and down) the first time they are loaded (clicking on a link seems to stop it). Edit: Actually, your report sounds a little different. Huh.

A screen shot wont be able to capture this weird behaviour it looks like the page is constantly trying to scroll up and down by a small amount. At first I thought it was Firefox, but if I uninstall adblock plus I can not get the problem to happen, reinstall adblock plus it happens. I tested on a WinXP SP2 install and it this problem did not happen.
