Hello,
I understand that by enabling the 'Show tabs on Flash and Java' one can then select to filter macromedia flash, and/or javascript.
I use the CNet, and News.com newssites on a daily basis, and would like to use the aforementioned feature there, but do not get any adblock tab added to the flash or java images? These are mainly streaming ads, with sound off by default, and you then have the option to load sound if you wish.
Any assistance in this area much appreciated.

To get rid of the streaming ads, add the following filter:
An easier way to block ads is to subscribe to a filter subscription like EasyList, which blocks all the ads on Cnet and other common sites.
Code: Select all

You don't need the tabs to block Flash. If you disable them you can still find the objects in the sidebar for example.
On the other hand, you can add an exception rule for the "good" Flash. For example you can use this rule on CNet:
It will remove the tab on all Flash loaded from i.i.com.com (that's the videos there).
On the other hand, you can add an exception rule for the "good" Flash. For example you can use this rule on CNet:
Code: Select all

Thanks for the assistance, once I spent a little more time studying scripts, etc, I now have the pages setup as I would like to view them, rather than how advertisers would like.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
