blocking 'pulse360'... ?
blocking 'pulse360'... ?
I use MSNBC.com frequently and daily have 'pulse360.com' charging onto my screen with their annoying pop-ups. I use Adblock and it will not block this site (unless I'm doing something incorrectly...).
Any0ne have a solution to this unwanted site that WOT does not approve of?

When does these pop-ups occur (e.g. on the home page, when you view a video etc)?mtmynd1 wrote:I use MSNBC.com frequently and daily have 'pulse360.com' charging onto my screen with their annoying pop-ups.
What filter subscription(s) are you using? You can find them in Adblock Plus preferences (Crtl+Shift+E).
I'm having the same problem
I use Easylist and install all updates as soon as I am notified. Heres the ad on my system right now: http://content.pulse360.com/cgi-bin/con ... =720x400if

Try this:
Go to Control Panel
go to Internet Options
Go To Content Tab
Go To Content Advisor....Enable or Settings
Go To Approved Sites
Type: http://content.pulse360.com in the "Allow this site" box
Select Never and apply
while exiting this for the first time it will ask for a password to protect from changes. This should stop all attempts by Pulse 360. I am using windows 7, but prior windows versions should have a similar feature, as this is the same area you can use to keep your kids off porn sites and the like.

Re: blocking 'pulse360'... ?
Just to let you know, for this to work properly, you also have to select the option to allow users to view unrated sites--or else every site that you hit, the first time you hit it, you get an annoying OS popup asking if it's okay to view the site. It's worse than Pulse360 at that point!

report them to the FTC and florida attorney general both are very active pursuing companies like them
Re: blocking 'pulse360'... ?
Msnbc serves the pop under, not pulse360. Pulse360 manages their sponsored links. Msnbc deviously created a revenue generating machine and littered it with pulse360 branding. I only get this on msnbc. No where else which tells me it's not adware or spyware, amazingly I stopped using msnbc and stopped getting the po under.
