Because only Adblock Plus 0.6.X and later are discussed here. No Adblock Plus 0.5.X.

See this comment from both developers: http://p2.forumforfree.com/-vp7119-adbl ... .html#7119
According to that you can discuss Adblock Plus 0.5.X at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=266291

MCM is still a mod here and will see if you ask questions. Therefor I don't see it as being wrong necessarily, but he may not see them as well as he would in the thread he suggest you use.

You should also know that adblock plus 0.5.X is a totally different version written by a different person then anything above 0.6

They are right though that version 0.5.x is rarely discussed here anymore. It's better to use the thread that guest posted above.

Edit: The question was answered and I see this as the ending of this thread. Locking

Adblock Plus 0.5 questions are valid here - discussions for both Adblock Plus versions were moved here in consensus with mcm. I don't see a reason for this thread to be locked, unlocking.

I locked it because I could see an argument starting and without you here to say either way I thought it would be best to lock it till you said either way. Thanks for the clarification.

PS Welcome back :D

A day or two after the thread was locked, I noticed that mcm had said that 0.5 discussion could be moved to its MozillaZine thread.
