Spam problem
Wow ... think it's human input? I always thought that the few that came to my forum were also 'human' generated too. The postings were too inconsistent for a bot.Wladimir Palant wrote:No problem, I got everything from the logs already. He found us in Google - the session he tried to use was previously used by Googlebot. Which means that I have to make it harder for him...
@rick752: No, this was very obviously a bot, but he managed to find the fields to fill out - meaning that it isn't hard enough yet.
PS: It identified itself as MSIE 6.0 - which could be true, it is probably using the IE ActiveX control to mimic user input.
PPS: Non-sense, the User-Agent string is a fake - and I can block this particular bot but the mistake in the User-Agent.

Probably ... but one last thought.Peng wrote: (Should one of us start a thread where this isn't totally off-topic?)
Wladimir, you probably shouldn't react too much to this unless it repeats a couple of times. I've had this happen in my forum ... but only on very few occasions.
I'm done, Peng ... it started here ... was easier to finish here. Sorry
