I am not able to watch all the episodes because of my location but after looking at some of the short clips I don't think they can be blocked without breaking the videos.

Same kind of ad here, but I'm wondering if it makes a difference that this video is on abcnews.go.com rather than abc.go.com. Wishful thinking.

Seems the video plays fine here, no issues, have to be very careful when blocking some abc news stuff..removing the pre-roll in some cases stop the video from loading.
