Would it please be possible for the elemhide option to work in conjunction with the domain option? At the moment ||example.com^$elemhide,domain=example.org and any similar filters simply aren't applied at all.

It does consider the domain option - but the domain is the same as the domain in the address. What else should it be? In other words, only ||example.com^$elemhide,domain=example.com will work.

I may have misunderstood the syntax, but it could potentially be necessary to whitelist all elements within a frame delivered from example.com, although only on example.org.

I guess that by "example.org" you mean the domain of the top frame? That's not how the domain option works - it always checks against the domain of the frame you are in.

Yes, I was referring to example.org as the domain of the top frame.
