gmail adds are back

Post by Mario »

I just noticed that google mail adsense text adds are back.

Does anyone have a filter that might nuke them again?

Does this work?

Code: Select all

mail.google.com#div(class=oM)

Yes, thanks. I hope they don't keep changing the class name or dynamically generating it.

I did notice that one of the div elements that the sponsored ads appear in always has an id that begins with : That could be useful to recognize it.

Actually, thank goes to Ares2 who has found that out at first but rick752 could not reproduce it. Maybe he will add the filter now.

I still cannot reproduce it here.

But it sounds like I should add that string to the EasyList now that it has been verified by another user. Give me 6 hours from now. :)

Blocking Gmail ads

Post by Jason »

Unfortunately, I can't block Google ads in Gmail. I have the latest version of Adblock Plus and the latest version of Easylist, Ares and Dr. Evil, but the ads persist. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Jason
