Adblock Plus' updater not automatic?

Hi!

Is it me or is Adblock Plus v7.5.4 not updating automatically in the background in SeaMonkey and IceApe (Debian's SeaMonkey)? I see this on my work and home computers so far. I have to manually update the filters myself. I noticed my updates were last ran on 9/30/2008 and I updated all my filter subscriptions (EasyElement and EasyList (USA)), and got today's updates.

It's becuase you're not really due until tomorrow.

The EasyList subscriptions automatically update only every 5 days after the last successful update.

The subscriptions update at that time after 5 minutes of browser use.

Ah. Is there a way to do it daily?

You can't speed it up automatically, but you can update them any time manually.

Open ABP's "Preferences" ... select "Filters" from the top menu ... select "Update all subscriptions" (Ctrl+Shift+T)

Yeah, I had to use the manual update. It would be nice to have daily automatic updates.

The subscription updates on the EasyList site USED to be every 24 hours, but because of the huge number of downloads at 'easylist.adblockplus.org', Wladimir and I decided to space them out a little bit more. I have even been thinking about every 7 to 10 days.

Last month, just the EasyList subscription all by itself was downloaded over 17 million times at over 135 gig of transfer. That does not include the EasyElement or the Tracking Filter. If we were to allow 24 hr downloads, it would be 5 times as much.
