tabs not showing
I have Adblock Plus set to show tabs on flash and java but it is not working for me. Is there a problem with using windows vista? Because I was using Adblock before on an XP computer and there was no problem.

First reason is because the flash is inside a so called Frame. The best solution will be to block the Frame itself.
The easiest way to look for a Frame is to use the search bar in the Open Blockable Items Menu.
Here is what you do:
1. go to site.
2. press ctrl+shift+V to get to the Open Blockable Items Menu. (ctrl+shift+B if you don't have the latest ABP)
3. in the search bar write Frame
(at this point if you can find no frames from the list even though the flash ad is on screen then this issue is not the problem)
4. click on each remaining address until you find the ad you want to block. ABP will make the firefox window focus and scroll to the items in that menu automatically when you click on their address. Alternatively you can right click each remaining lines on that list and choose Open in New Tab until you have identified its address.
5. once you found out which address belongs to the flash you can right click and choose to block it.
Second reason is Whitelisting. If you have something unintentionally whitelisted, it is a very bad thing because ABP will not offer ways to block them, so fix your whitelist if this is the case. The best way to test if this is the case is to open the Blockable Items Menu (Ctrl+Shift+B) and look for green lines like these:
Again it should be easy to tell which line belongs to which flash/object, simply by clicking on each line the firefox window will move focus and scroll to the flash/image automatically, and as previously mentioned you can also open each address in a new tab to be sure which is which. Once you have determined which lines has caused whitelist, you can right click the line and choose Edit Filter In Effect.
Third reason could be because you have it disabled in the options(but as you said, you have this enabled so this propably isn't the reason):
