popup on investopedia

how does this popup work ?

only the first time when i open the page after firefox was closed (history and cookies are cleared when firefox closes)
and go with the cursos from the page up (like towards the firefox menu, or the home button) and hold it there for a second without pressing anything, this pops out:

i tried hiding it with what element hinding shows is it's class:
investopedia.com##.inner-helper

and blocking it with what i found when inspecting that element in firefox:

##div.inner-helper

but they all have 0 hits and that thing keeps poping out.

i just tried ublock origin and it blocks it, with me selecting elements.
Turns out they are the same ones :
##div.inner-helper
##div.lb_overlay.js_lb_overlay
i tried in adblock plus, so i don't know why they don't work there ?

it works fine for me the last (my) filter.
Did you try using only ABP ? (no other blocking addon)

yes,i only used abp for years.

still pops out with your filter like before, when the page is opened the first time after firefox was closed (history/cache/cookies/everything is cleared on exit).
Also it goes away when you click around it in the page.
Shows up in Opera also.

I have the same "doesn't get blocked the first time" problem with other pages too.
If this is my homepage:

always shows up at the bottom when firefox is opened the first time after it was closed.
I can block it with:

##._tLg
##._YWg
and it is blocked every time but not the first time firefox opens.
If that isn't my homepage and i open firefox and then navigate to www.google.hr , the banner at the bottom doesn't show up.

And when this:

is my homepage i get these two popups:

and the same story, adblock blocks them but not the first time firefox is opened.

And now ublock blocks all of that even the first time, with the same filters that i tried in adblock plus.
Don't know why.

Oh, if it's only about popups / ads on firefox start ... it's all normal for ABP. The ads / popup / notification is loaded before the ABP initialization.
ubo it's faster on start, or ... wait for loading the ubo resources and then apply again all the filters.
