Pop up ads on justdubs and Kissanime

So do pop-up ads (ads that open a new tab) not get blocked? I get them on

and it is very annoying. With JustDubs, the ads come up after I press the play button on any video. With Kiss anime it is just a random chance of it happening when I press the search bar. I was under the impression that I had some form of adware, but I checked my brothers' computers and sure enough the same thing happened. I have never had this happen in the past with these sites so I am assuming the pop-up ads are a newer thing to these sites (I have not used them in quite a few months).
