Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Hello!
I just re-installed my Windows, installed a new Opera and Adblock and now it's not working correctly.
Every time after I restart my computer, Adblock doesn't block any ads until I go into settings and click on the update filter lists now button. After that, it works fine, but having to do it every time is a bit annoying. Any tips?

Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
You said you have to go into settings and "update now":
- are there no lists ?
- the lists still there but you see errors / failures for any of them ?
What security software or optimizing utility are you using ?

Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
I'm using RuAdList+EasyList , and it is still there and checked on, no errors. It says it was last updated -whenever I last updated it, usually a couple hours ago- , but, like I said, Adblock doesn't block anything. Then I click on update now, reload all my open pages and it works.mapx wrote:You said you have to go into settings and "update now":

I have only Windows Firewall installed, no Antivirus and no optimizers.
Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Oh, are you talking the start pages in opera have ads ? only the start pages ?
If this is the case, well, nothing to do: the pages are loaded before the extension start / initialization.
In this case you have to refresh the page(s) and the ads should be removed (without clicking "update now")

No, all the pages I open afterwards have them too, I was just describing what I'm doing at start

Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Could you test if you get the same behaviour in chrome portable ? (it's the same extension)
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/g ... e_portable
adblock plus for chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... cddilifddb

Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Tried it and it starts working right away with Chrome
Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
Are you using in opera some other extension ?
Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
CPU Usage Viewer and Godville UI+ (that's for a specific game on a website). But I used them both with my old Windows+Opera too and it worked fine.
Thanks for trying to help, I thought this might have been a known issue and you might have a fast answer. Since it's working with Chrome, the problem seems to be Opera itself, I'll try to search at Opera support sites. Thanks again!

Re: Adblock not working after every PC reboot
I'm having this issue:
"Your file was not found. It may have been moved or deleted."
Was working fine yesterday (4/27)...stopped working today.
Using Opera 36
