Adblock not allowing new tabs to open in IE 11

Hi everyone, about 50% of the time, adblock plus is not allowing me to open new tabs in IE 11. They open and come up blank (when I click on a favourite link too it stays blank).

Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this?

- Are you using the last ABP 1.5 ?
- disable other addons in IE (if any)
- try clearing cookies / cache
