Netflix autoplaying trailer on the home screen
Netflix autoplaying trailer on the home screen
I need to block this. When I go to netflix home, a video loads in the background. Sure the sound is off by default, but that doesn't fix anything. It kills my computer's performance. Firefox starts chugging, the trailer (currently for their crouching tiger hidden dragon netflix original) is 240p and runs at a whopping 1fps. I can't find what element controls it to add a filter. By the time I delete a few elements in the "inspect element" console, the trailer has ended and I need to reload, further ruining my computer's performance. Googling doesn't help at all. No matter what I search for, google gives me completely unrelated crap.

I pay netflix, too. Then I download actual-HD bitrate video from usenet. No ads. Everyone wins.

submit an issue report and then post here the report link.

On the default screen, where it shows you random categories. Pretty sure you need an account, since it's where you start videos. Basically, login and you're there. It's a huge ad that takes up most of the screen, making you scroll down to see anything.

I get no account, so submit the report as I already posted above.
