Tabs not showing on Java/flash ads

Post by mediamaverick1 »

I have "show tabs on flash or java" enabled and it still doesn't show the block ad tab on the ad like it's supposed to. Why is this and any way to get it working? Thanks.

Can you show me a particular ad where this is happening? Usually this is because the tab shows up but stays invisible - there is just no space for it.

You may be right -- tabs or no tabs, I can't block flash ads and don't want to block all flash on a page, just some. What's the best way to do that? Most of them are on Myspace.

OK, I can do that, but what if I just want to block all flash ads on myspace and/or all ads on myspace? What would I do in each case?

Not only do I not see the clock tab on flash objects. This happened to me using the non Plus AdBlock extension, but with that extension, I was able to press Ctrl+Shift+F and be able to temporarily block Flash objects. At that point , I was able to click on the flash object and create a filter based on the pre4ssed flash object.

Is there anyway to regain this functionality in the next release?

I used to always show the tabs on flash items but I recently turned them off. I now prefer to use the Ctrl + Shift + B method to bring up the blockable items list and block from there (you can even create a generic filter to block all flash objects on the offending site)
