Linkbucks and Shorte.st ISSUES, NOT BLOCKING advertisements!

Post by ickyhiyori »

Using the lastest ver of FF and Adlbock here, but have been having this persistent problem for a while now. Til now i've just tried to use the "Report a problem" option on Adblock to try and get this FIXED, but it HAS NOT WORKED.

URL shorteners are SOMEHOW finding a way to get around my Adblock, and it is IRKSOME as HELL. Now, I am posting in the forums hoping to find a way for this problem to be fixed. Linkbucks in particular is REALLY pissing me off.

Now, I am rather young, and I have NO IDEA where to begin about trying to block these things, I know JACK about coding and how to program ADP filters, but I have tried my best to fix things when I see them messing up by using the forums as sort of a guide, which is why I expect the filters to work for me, except some of them blocked too much and I ended up having to delete some of my others.

Currently I am using only EasyList, I thought that was sufficient enough until this crap happened. Lately, all the music / download sites I have been using have been prone to use these idiot Shorte.st and Linkbucks links to try and make "money" to compensate for site costs instead of asking for donations, and it's more trouble than it's worth to have to go through them because of these issues. I have a few screenshots enclosed, please help me ASAP. God. Please.

additonal notes:
using win 7, latest version of firefox
i am also using noscript, latest version
this problem has been on and off, sometimes fixes work for it and sometimes they don't, but the sites persist nonetheless and somehow keep installing new features to make ADP not work?

The new linkbucks urls appear to be using the url eafyfsuh.net despite still being labeled as linkbucks. I'm not sure if you guys have that info yet, but I left it in the screenshot in case maybe the developers didn't know?

I think the first one should be *$subdocument,domain=ogpkouictfrza.net
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.

Did not work for getting rid of the central advertisement, but got rid of the "advertise with us" buttons and whatnot. And now linkbucks is giving me this false "bluescreen error" advertisement, which REALLY grinds my gears. Also did not get rid of the popup, as FF is still reporting that . Here's another screen grab. Probably not a virus ad as much as it is a scare tactic, but still....

Site will not let me go without noscript, I've redownloaded some older Filters that I previously deleted and am going to try turning them on and off to see if they work.

UPDATE: The ABP Japaense List DOES block the advertisement when enabled along with recently redownloaded fanboys annoyances + peter lowe's list

HOWEVER, there is a problem, the linkbucks site gets picky, won't let you proceed, and leaves you on a blank screen with what'd usually be the skip ad button after five seconds is stuck in an endless loading funk. I have pulled up the 'open blockable items' tab and going to try and see what I can do as a novice, there appears to be another "advertisement" attribute, so let me see if adding that to the filter group would block it.

EDIT #2: the issue appears to be with a certain FRAMES, requests, etc, I'm just going to attach a list of what's included in the "blockable item" folder

Linkbucks changed iframe domain again

Code: Select all

||$subdocument,domain=puuaieipm.net
Also, previous post by rianhw is bogus. It seems he/she just want to increase traffic to their forums. Can a mod please look into this?

Helo, good evening

I'd like to know if the problem with Linkbucks (or Eafyfuh) has been solved. I'm using AdBlock Plus but it's not working since I'm trying to skip these sites. It's crazy cos I can't go on. I need to skip a site called eafyfsuh.net but, when I am there, the loading button is stuck. It's not counting down at all. It looks just like a static image.

I have tryed other filters like Safebrowser; even tryed some scripts (this is the first time I do this) but, as you can guess, I got no results.

Any idea? Many thanks in advance :)
