EasyElement+EasyList Problem
EasyElement+EasyList Problem
When I visit http://www.fileplanet.com/subscribe/log ... l.aspx?f=0 with the "EasyElement+EasyList" filter set enabled, it makes the text and link near the top of the page that says"Some files require a Fileplanet subscription. Don't have an account? Click Here to Get One!" appear lower than it should (after disabling EasyElement+EasyList it works fine). I would try to narrow it down more for you but I don't have a very good understanding of how such things work, so I will leave it in your capable hands !!
Edit: I also just noticed that the big red "log in" button is not being treated as a link as it should be and does with the EasyElement+EasyList filter set disabled.
p.s. I hope I don't sound unappreciative because that was not my intention and I'm not !!

Just add this to you own filters and click OK.
That problem only exists on the home page afaict.

Thanks for your quick reply, that works but I was wondering if there was / will be a solution that did not involve "exception rules". Surely I can't be the only ABP / EasyElement+EasyList user to visit that site, and everyone can't be expected to manually add that exception rule (if they even realise what is going wrong).
I removed that string it for now. I will log it when I get home from work later.
I have a large amount of hits on that here so it may be something that I visit very often ... shouldn't be hard for me to find. I'll try to fix it one way or the other without whitelisting.
Reload EasyList now, Humbird and remove that whitelist rule.

my */promotions/* hit count was 1942, and 95% must be "False" positive hit's from: http://www.ign.com/
i visit there a lot, but i also did think that those small images are not needed.
And that's why i say "False":)

Thanx guys. I think I will remove it for now and I will work around it for the time being. "Promotions" and "promos" bother me a little because they may not be what they seem (like *banners*) .... that is an old filter string.
If there turns out to be MANY promotions (that are not caught by other filters), I will simply whitelist the site here and return */promotions/* to the list.
I always find it easier to remove the filter in question, log it (what and where) ... then make a decision whether to rewite that filter or simply make a targeted whitelisting for this site.
Let me know if something significant sneaks by. And thanx again for the stats.

I see that ign's "promotions" are mostly their own and probably would be interesting to most users there, Fox. They seem to just be links that connect users to promotions and sweepstakes on ign itself and its partner site gamespy. I would certainly not go out of my way to block those.Fox wrote:my */promotions/* hit count was 1942, and 95% must be "False" positive hit's from: http://www.ign.com/
