Well, I don't see why everybody looks so surprised. If you follow links you might end up on a bad site. If you click ads this is no different, only that the links aren't chosen by the site author.

Nope ... not surprised at all. Many times you never really know where a link is taking you. ANYONE can post an ad through a 3rd-party adserver.
