Hello,
a friend of mine is a regular user of the German dating site lablue.de. Since today, he can't access his mails on the site anymore, because when he tries to open one from the list, all he gets is a stupid page telling him that he was logged off because he's using an ad-blocker (in fact he is using FF 9.01 and the latest version of ABP). But this didn't even change when I disabled ABP on that site for him.
How can this be fixed, perferrably without having to set an exception in ABP?
TIA,
Fred

Maybe you have to delete cookies from the site.Pressfred wrote:But this didn't even change when I disabled ABP on that site for him.
Is he subscribed to EasyList Germany + EasyList? We have specific exception filters to circumvent this detection on lablue. I have just checked it and it worked for me.

Deleted all cookies from the site, even (temporarily) activated 3rd-party cookies. Didn't work, regardless if I set an exception for the site in ABP or not. And yes, he is subscribed to the mentioned lists, which are up-to-date.MonztA wrote:Maybe you have to delete cookies from the site.Pressfred wrote:But this didn't even change when I disabled ABP on that site for him.

Any other suggestions? Which additional information could I deliver to make it easier for someone here to help me/him? NoScript is installed, but the site is whitelisted (several things don't work with JS blocked). His other addons like Ext. Statusbar etc. shouldn't interfere.
TIA,
Fred
Re: Dating site lablue.de logs user out
A little addition:
Just tried it on his machine with SRWare Iron. Accessing his mails worked, but when I installed ABP in Iron (Easy List & EL Ger), I faced the same behavior, he got logged out. But in Iron it works at least when disabling ABP for the site.
Just to be clear, he can see the list of his mails, but when he tries to open one of them, he sometimes even sees the opened mail for a small part of a second, but then immediately gets "redirected" to the page telling him that he was logged out because of using an adblocker.

It also does not work for me in Chrome. It seems ABP for Chrome does not support whitelisting of element hiding filters ("@@||example.com^$elemhide") which is necessary in this case.
You/he could submit an issue report with Adblock Plus (Firefox only; via ABP context menu -> "Report issue on this page...") while being on the page where the mails are listed (please also attach a screenshot in the issue reporter process and post the link of the report here afterwards). Maybe I will find something there.
Yes, I am aware "the trigger" is located at this place.Pressfred wrote:Just to be clear, he can see the list of his mails, but when he tries to open one of them, he sometimes even sees the opened mail for a small part of a second, but then immediately gets "redirected" to the page telling him that he was logged out because of using an adblocker.

Thanks. Are all other scripts apart from lablue.de also whitelisted?
