Help me block the top part of e24.se

Post by db »

Example: http://www.e24.se/makro/varlden/kinas-b ... 924464.e24

I want to hide the top panel, that is, the ad that begins to the right of logo and search box ("Skriv in sökord") and is above the top menu (E24 Start, Pengar, Business,...).

I have tried blocking a number of elements but this panel remains however I do. Would appreciate som help very much.

Um, although the top panel is still there I don't see the ad content. I'm using EasyList and EasyPrivacy and Fanboy's  annoyances lists (yeah I know that's not recommended but hey it works for me). Several items are reported as blocked by one or other of those lists.

Oh and my personal rules blatt way Google Analytics --- they want to know what I'm up to they can pay to find out. And I don't care that some features on some web sites might not work right.

Yes I can get rid of the ads but then a lot of space on the page is unused. Besides, when I page down it jumps more than one page = you miss a paragraph or two. Really stupid design. My hope was that if I could get rid of the top panel I would also avoid this page down problem.

Possible to preprocess the page with, e.g., privoxy, to modify it making it possible to hide the top panel? Any other suggestions?

Yeah, sadly nothing can help to correct "really stupid design"; maybe e24.se should make that their trademark. I didn't check beyond the inital presenttion; the design affects my dyslexia. I didn't check their credibility either; I prefer Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Nyheter.
