CBS News

At the bottom of the CBS News page, there is a black bar with "Connect with CBS News", and the Facebook and Twitter links. I tried but could not figure out which one that would block this popup. Can anyone help?

If you add the Annoyances List subscription it should remove this.

I added the subscription and restarted Firefox, but it has not removed the black bar at the bottom that pops up. I verified that the subscription was there, so any ideas why it is not working?

I thought it was covered, though without a sample website to test.. I browsed cbsnews.com for said issues.. couldn't find this "black bar"

Hmm, surprised that you didn't see it and it was there for me when I clicked your two links. Here is a screen capture that I did of the CBS News home page and I drew a red circle around it at the bottom. It is not hard to miss, unless you already have it blocked somehow that is not included in your subscription.
