Adblock Plus doesn't show as downloaded

Almost everyday when I open up my Firefox browser there is a message saying that "in order for Adblock to work, its add-on, Adblock Plus, needs to be downloaded, download it here" and my browser is open to the page Adblock Plus 1.2 (today it was 1.2, prior to today was 1.1.3). I look in my add ons page and it shows Adblock Plus as being there, but for some reason, it isn't being recognized and this message reappears. It also seems that it is working, so this is even more confusing. I swear I download it everyday, adjust the filters only to have the same message reappear, even several times after I have re-downloaded in that day. I've tried deinstalling the add ons 1.1.2, 1.2, 1.0.6 and 1.0.1 and reinstalling them again, but it still happens. What should I do?

I think you have Adblock Plus Filter Uploader installed - but not Adblock Plus. I suggest you uninstall Adblock Plus Filter Uploader, I sincerely doubt that you need it. As to installing Adblock Plus, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Una ... ll+add-ons might help.
