Post by espectral »

Hey guys..

I want to block de red retangulars

Image

The url is forum.outerspace.com.br
but I would like also to the place they belong DISAPPEAR, being as clean as possible. And I don't like to see ADs in outerspace, but it's ok in other places, where ADs (perhapes from the same place) are need.

Thanks in advance.

No adverts are shown on the page when viewed with EasyList. The active filters are:

Code: Select all

|http://ad.$~object_subrequest,domain=~europa.eu|~uni-freiburg.de|~sjsu.edu|~uitm.edu.my
||pagead2.googlesyndication.com^$third-party,~object_subrequest
Alternatively you could simply subscribe to EasyList on this page.

Well, it's more specific than that.

Take a look:

No ads and no blank spaces for me here on Firefox. I don't know how EasyList works on Chrome though.

Has EasyList started catering for sites is Portuguese now ? :mrgreen:

The site DOES seem to have all the ads taken care of by generic filters though, (with Fanboy's list also).

@espectral

This forum is for the discussion of ABP related topics. To the best of my knowledge EasyList has not officially be ported to any other ad-blocking platform. Also, Wladimir has made it clear that there will be no ABP for Chrome so this is probably not the appropiate place to be posting about your problem.

I think your problem all boils down to the fact that no other Ad blocking solution comes close to ABP.

If you are going to stick with Chrome your best bet would be to check out Fanboys SRWare Iron Chrome list

He is in a better position to help you. If with his list you still have problems, try posting in his forum

I already tried fanboy's adblock list.
Nothing, the blank places are still there.

better than having ads still? best to take it up any bugs with the adblock extension for chrome with the maintainer.
