www.cityam.com detecting ABP and blocking content

Weirdly, if I visit on Chrome with AdBlock (not ABP) then it doesn't detect the adblocking and shows the whole page fine. Just an FYI as I'm guessing both extensions use different adblocking techniques.

Any ideas how to get around this on Firefox with ABP?

Hello!

It seems that this website has updated their adblocking detection to get around adblock getting around their block.

Cat and mouse!

Any idea's of what should be changed to block the ads, and how quickly we can push this to easylist?

It seems it will be endless cat and mouse with this website

Thus far I have only encountered one site that I (used to) visit, with that kind of thing. In my case I haven't bothered trying to circumvent it; instead I simply contacted the site owner making sure that it's perfectly clear for him why I wouldn't be visiting his site any more.

The bottom line the way I see it is, if a site tries to enforce unwanted content on its visitors in such a compulsory way, it doesn't deserve being visited. The Internet is a vast and varied place, and there are always alternatives with the same contents.
