Similar ads/clickbait across the web isn't blocked

I see these ads everywhere. They're never blocked, despite being the most irritating things in the world to see, and custom blocking doesn't get rid of them consistently. This is why I have adblock, so I wonder why clickbait like this isn't blocked by default.

Taboola ads are whitelisted by default.

You can disable the “Allow some non-intrusive advertising” option.

Because money. I agree, Taboola Ads and their ilk are some of the worst adverts on the internet. An odd decision by the ABP team.

First one should be blocked now. Second aren't ads, just first-party recommendations from Taboola which you can block by ||taboola.com^$third-party
