Element hiding helper fails

Hi. I tried to use element hiding helper (1.0.5) on adds for example on this page: http://www.7kanal.com/news.php3?id=260728

There are two blocks of text ads on the left. One is identified as

Code: Select all

7kanal.com#TABLE(class=article_time)
other as

Code: Select all

7kanal.com#DIV(style=width: 120px;)
When I point to block them, they disappear, but after page reload - they are there again, even though the rule is present in preferences. Do I miss something, or it's because of the Firefox beta may be?

My configuration: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090325 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre

There is a bug with element hiding in 3.0.8pre, 3.5b4pre and 3.6a1pre: http://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3639

By April 1 at the latest, I suppose.

Keep your eye on the Development Builds forum.

Argh, you are right - they are releasing on April 1st already :-(

Thanks, I thought the release would be somewhere in mid-April. Need to hurry up...

Wladimir will most certainly release a fixed ABP 1.0.2 before Firefox 3.0.9 (the first stable version with the bug) is released (April 21).

If you want the fix now, you can build Adblock Plus yourself ( http://adblockplus.org/en/source#build ) or apply the changes manually ( more in this thread: http://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 5219#25219 ).

I'm using the latest version of firefox, adblock plus and element hiding helper.

and i've found the filter that erase your ads on the left :
www.7kanal.com#TD(valign=middle)

It works perfectly on my pc.

So update your browser and extensions and add this hidin' filter :)
