How to get rid of this wallpaper?
How to get rid of this wallpaper?
Have a look at this very popular startpage.
http://www.ni.dk
The wallpaper-ad is getting on my nerves.
I can remove the wallpaper picture (Mostly ad from norwegian.no) but after removal I still get the link-clicking hand when hoovering the mouse where the ad used to be.
How do I disable the link in the background?
Normally when the ad isn't activated by www.ni.dk there's no hand appearing when hoovering.
I have a habit to quickly click either in the big white part to the left or right to make the page active for scrolling.
Now I often click the hidden wallpaper-banner by habit and that's pretty irritating.
Any help?

Nice try.
Try it Yourself, the red ad is gone but the big white parts left and right is still a link, and it still redirects via some doubleclick adress to norwegian.no.
How to stop the link behavour in the white fields?
Filter subscriptions used: Ares + Easy list, Cedrics, dutchblock and Dr. Evil
I hope You can figure it out.
Here we go again!
Wallpaper link is active again with new redirect.
Have a look and tell what to block.
Impossible?

Impossible?
This did it for me:
So maybe generalize the filter into:
Code: Select all
|http://www.ni.dk/aktuelt/asa/Holiday_wallpaper_100x100.gif
Code: Select all
_wallpaper_100x100.gif$side=ni.dk
The space where the background is / was (on either side of the page content) is a clickable link, I think the OP wants to stop that behaviour as well as block the image.
