Can't view this nbc.com video clip with ABP v1.0.1 ...

Post by ant »

http://www.videosift.com/video/Ann-Coul ... d-Update-1 (and maybe others).

It seems like ABP v1.01 (updated ABP Tracking, AdblockRules.org, and EasyList (USA) filters) is blocking the video ad. server before playing the clip. is there a way to skip the advertisements in the Flash video?

SeaMonkey v1.1.14's Web browser said it was connected to pl.yumenetworks.com which is a video ad. server. It just sits here forever.

Thank you in advance. :)

Thanks. Will other filter owners be able to fix this?

Solution: Can't View shows on www.nbc.com

Post by ComputerDiva »

Solution to "can't view www.nbc.com" shows using IE7

Do the following:

Read this Post and Print it out......

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General Tab -> Browsing History-> Delete-> Delete All

Next, Go To -> Content Tab -> Clear SSL State

Next, Go To-> Connections and verify that it is all clear if you are using high speed internet (not dial up), the check the LAN Settings and make sure that is clear as well.

Next, Go To-> Advanced Tab-> Select Restore Advance settings -> then select Reset. When this is complete "uncheck Enable third party browser extensions". Ok and restart IE7

This whole process brings IE7 back to its orginal state. When opening up IE7 you will need to do "runonce" and should be all set. This DOES NOT Delete your Favorites, but does delete everything else. You will need to setup your favorite toolbars again and home pages.

Now you can watch WWW.NBC.COM and access other web sites that were directing you to mobile.

I advise Not to go into the registry if you are not a Computer Tech person.
Good Luck
