custom pattern default
custom pattern default
Hi, it took me a while to figure out why all the graphics were gone from my fav site. The culprit is my default setting going to block entire sites, as opposed to defaulting to Custom, and blocking only the image I was after. Sorry if this has already been adressed, but I didn't see the thread on the list... but how can I reset that default? thx
Sounds like you might be using (the very outdated) Adblock extension, and not the (very much current) Adblock Plus extension.
There's an entry in the FAQ about the removal of Site Blocking functionality. There's also (if you're a glutton for information like me) a brief history of the projects.
Either way, check out the very latest version of Adblock Plus (finally 1.0!). You may need to uninstall your Adblock version.

I think this is the right link: http://adblockplus.org/en/getting_start ... -positives

thanks for the replies, but it is adblock plus 1.0, and I've previously identified and disabled the offending filter. I guess I'll just have to get used to being more careful about blocking images, by taking the extra step to select "Custom" each time. On this site, for example, if I right-click on the image 200.png and select Adblock Image, the default goes to block http://adblockplus.org/images/* unless I manually change the selection to the custom one, to get just the image... http://adblockplus.org/images/200.png ,as it used to work before this month.
Re: merry Christmas
Adblock Plus 1.0.1 will have a pref for setting "Custom" as the default. You can get the development build now, if you don't want to wait. http://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 2849#22849
