Blocking of #A not working

Post by Birdsong »

so I customized the elements that can be blocked in AB+ to include A, SPAN, TABLE etc. And when I go into LIST ALL BLOCKABLE ELEMENTS, AB lists those found on the page with their class, for example, on Google, I get:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=su ... rch#A(t1a)

so I blocked it, and added:

http://www.google.com/*#A(t1a)

But when I reload the google page, the text ad is still there, and it is the id=t1a ad...I double checked with webdev tools to see the id of the add.
Also, when I open the LIST ALL BLOCKABLE ELEMENTS the line is highlighted in red indicating blocked.
Also in my preferences i have it set to check div elements.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

sorry - even more wierd....the id is really "aw1" but adblock lists it as "ta1"
so I also added *#A(aw1)" and its still not being blocked.

Seeing another thread about white space not collapsing I uninstalled AB+ and then reinstalled it...problem fixed!
