chrome: ABP automatically closing new tabs

Hi! This is an issue that just started today. I will click on a link that redirects (URL shorteners like greatergood.me going to http://theanimalrescuesite.greatergood.com/ and "http://link.email.dynect.net (etc etc etc long URL) redirecting to a specific campaign on GoFund Me) and instead of getting a link in a new tab with the proper redirection, it simply closes the tab immediately. I don't understand why this is suddenly happening now and I don't know how to fix it. The links work properly the second I disable ABP, but I like ABP so I'd rather figure out what's wrong so I can keep it.

For instance, when I am on Facebook and I click on a link that says greatergood.me/1GGRtb9 and is supposed to redirect to http://blog.theveteranssite.com/marlena ... m=20150331, it will automatically close the tab. If I right-click and copy link address (which is still the http://greatergood.me/1GGRtb9 site), then paste it into a new tab, it redirects.

If I am in Inbox (my email) and I click a link that is "http://link.email.dynect.net/link.php?H ... E3Mjc3MzU7" and it is supposed to redirect to http://www.gofundme.com/tbkwj4?utm_sour ... paign=ty_n, it will block. Again, if I copy the link and paste it into a new tab, it works.

This issue just started today with no configuration changes or known updates on my end. The issue goes away when ABP is disabled or uninstalled. Attempted to uninstall/reinstall, issue persists.

add an exception to an official filter in easylist. I reported the fact in the easylist forum:

I started having the same issue today. Any link I click on, rather than opening in a new tab, it automatically shuts down. If I close down Chrome and restart it, I can click on links for a few minutes, then it starts shutting them down again. Will the exception listed work for all sites?

I don't know. If you already added the filter and doesn't work, provide example links, explain how to reproduce the issue.

Hooray! I removed the filter and tested it with one of the sites giving me a problem. All seems to be well now

I'm still having a problem with: http://feedproxy.google.com/(redirect) and https://www.pobox.com/login/(etc). I'm not familiar with adding a filter, but I can try if pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for helping a noob! I had checked the update status and it said today, so I thought I was good. Now I know one of the things to check.
