KSL Classifieds

I live in Utah, and a popular online classified site is at KSL's website, or:

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=13

I've noticed this week that when I click on any of the sections, none of the items appear as they normally would. This has worked forever, seems to have stopped working this week. I can disable ABP and it works just find.

I am using EasyElement and EasyList as my filters. Upon further investigation, it appears that the filter that is being caught by this page is the:

.googleadservices.

I can find references to the googleadservice on the page, but I'm not sure why that would block the actual classified ads.

I'd appreciate some help getting this to coorporate again.

thanks

Woody

Turn off the filter string named:
#*(adBox)
... in the EasyElement subscription. That should do it.

I just used the same fix for KSL. Thank you very much!

I had the same problem, but this particular item fixed it for me:

Disable ##[class^="adBox"]

I created the following whitelist rule, but it doesn't override the more generic rule in the EasyList. Why not?

Code: Select all

@@||ksl.com##[class^="adBox"]
Shouldn't either a) whitelist rules have priority over all blacklist rules, or b) more specific rules have priority over less specific rules?

The problem is that you can't whitelist element hiding rules.

But I think I fixed the problem in EasyList, so after an update ksl.com should work just fine.

I know this thread is quite old, but if anyone is currently dealing with the issue of their "favorites" (cars, specifically) not showing up on KSL classifieds, adding this filter fixed it for me:

Code: Select all

ksl.com#@#.adItem
