If you want to block, and not just hide, the content, try one of the many blocking filters in this thread, or subscribe to Fanboy's Social Blocking List (or a subscription that includes it, like Annoyances or Ultimate), to see whether it works: forum/viewtopic.php?t=26700&start=15#p122271

I have Fanboy's Social Blocking list but it is not blocked. The list needs to be updated by the maintainer(s).
