There seems to an error in the latest
EasyList (USA) (
http://easylist.adblockplus.org/adblock_rick752.txt,
Last Modified: 24aug2008) because all images and stylesheets on every web page are blocked.
I looked through the list and I found this on line 752:
Images and stylesheets are loaded as they should be when I simply remove one of the slashes.

???
How is that even possible?
Removing info from a string causes it to block LESS?
Where did you see this problem? That string has been there for a long time.

There seems to be a problem with their database. I received an error here:

I got this with ABP disabled.

Here's a screenshot from
DN, a major newspaper in Sweden, with APB disabled:
The screenshot looks exactly the same when I have APB enabled and remove one of the slashes from the line I mentioned earlier in EasyList (USA).
Another screenshot. APB is enabled and subscribed to
EasyList (USA):

That site is fine here.
Looks like a subscription download corruption.
*/* is not a filter in the EasyList.
I have been updating things today .. you may have updated at exactly the time I was uploading an update. If you look through the EasyList, you will probably find that */* is probably the last string shown .. nothing after that will exist.
Manually update the EasyList again ... all should be fine then.
This problem should be fixed in the next version of ABP.

Cheers for your reply!
I'll do a manual update.
BTW, I'm of course using the latest version of ABP. I've emptied the cache in Firefox with no luck. I've never experienced this problem with APB and EasyList (USA) before. It occurred for the first time a few hours ago.

The only way that you should ever experience that problem would be if you are updating subscriptions at the EXACT time that I am updating them (what's the chances?}
But because the EasyList is downloaded at about 8 hits per second, SOMEBODY will experience this problem. The upcoming update to ABP should be able to 'verify' a complete download so hopefully this problem will be resolved.
Open the ABP Preferences and hit Cntl+Shift+T
