it is collected centrally by some one??
and last does it make adblockplus heavier??
(i mean it would be better to reset from time to time)

So reset them. Go to ABP's PREFERENCES ... FILTERS .... "Reset hit statistics".

There are only of use to the user.

As Rick said they are only for your benefit, they are not sent back to anyone else (ABP is not phoning home if that's what you are worried about).

I doubt ABP keeping track of filter hits has any noticeable performance hit. Resetting them from time to time will be of no benefit

Note that the current development build allows disabling statistics via hidden extensions.adblockplus.savestats preference. Main argument was that some people want to keep their patterns.ini in a version control system, and the statistics make it pretty hard to recognize changes.

i am using ADP 0.7.5.3 and after a time my browset stop showing pictures in the web sites i am using mozilla firefox 2.0.0.16 after i give a reset hit conter in ADP the browser started showing pictures in the sites again
